The operator of michiyomi (the “Operator”) declares the following regarding the data published by michiyomi (https://michiyomi.dev).

1. Scope

This declaration covers the following data (the “Covered Data”):

• (a) All revisions of v0.1, v0.2, v0.3 and v0.3.1 of the Hugging Face dataset finalvent/michiyomi-tokyo-streetscape.
• (b) Responses of the michiyomi.dev REST API, MCP server and scenery search (/explore/) based on the releases published by 3 October 2026 (2026-08-21-r1, 2026-08-22-r1, 2026-08-26-r1, 2026-08-28-r1, 2026-09-13-r1, 2026-09-22-la1, 2026-10-03-la2).
• (c) Data files obtainable from michiyomi.dev pages that are based on the same releases as (b).
• (d) Releases listed, with a date, as covered by this declaration under “Covered releases” on this page.

Data provided under authentication and individual contracts (paid provision, commissioned work, pre-release versions) is not covered.

2. Earlier grant

The grant made when the Covered Data was published under CC BY-SA 4.0 is not revoked and remains valid. Users may rely on either the earlier conditions or the conditions of this declaration. The parts derived from OpenStreetMap under section 7 have always been subject to ODbL 1.0.

3. Additional permission

For the observation layer of the Covered Data (Annex 1), the Operator also grants use under CC BY 4.0 (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/legalcode), to the extent of the rights it holds.

In addition, whether under CC BY 4.0 or CC BY-SA 4.0, the Operator does not require any credit to michiyomi for the following uses:

• (a) Results: answers, analyses, charts, app displays, trained models, embeddings (vectors) that do not contain the original text, and similar outputs obtained by using the Covered Data for search, computation, summarization, inference, visualization, machine learning or similar purposes, whose main purpose is not to extract and reuse records of the Covered Data.
• (b) Individual display and quotation: presenting individual records or summaries in human-readable form (including in translation).

Share-alike and display of any logo are not required for any use.

4. Redistribution as data

If you provide records of the observation layer in a form that third parties can extract and reuse (files, databases, APIs offered to third parties, map tiles keeping per-record attributes, vector indexes containing the text, etc.), the condition of section 3(a) of CC BY 4.0 applies. Showing “Source: michiyomi (michiyomi.dev), CC BY 4.0 (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/)” and indicating any modification satisfies the section 3(a) conditions of both CC BY 4.0 and CC BY-SA 4.0. Items of section 3(a)(1)(A) of either license not contained in this format are not required.

The following is not redistribution under this section:

• Use solely within an organization.
• Sending data from your own servers to users' devices to display it in your own app or site (except where offered or provided as a download or API for third parties).
• Passing responses between programs or AI agents for processing. In this case, it is sufficient to pass on the response's license as is.

5. Clarification of earlier statements

Among earlier statements, the following are not conditions required on the basis of michiyomi's rights:

• (a) Statements that a screen displaying the data requires the Mapillary logo and link (e.g. “Any UI displaying this data must show a visible Mapillary logo linked to https://www.mapillary.com”).
• (b) Statements that CC BY-SA 4.0 is inherited by derived works or derived data (e.g. “share-alike applies to derived works”, “Data you derive from it inherits CC BY-SA 4.0”).
• (c) Statements that attribution is required for any use, including in AI answers (e.g. “Show attribution whenever you use it, including in an AI-generated answer”).

Conditions for displaying or serving Mapillary photos are governed by each contributor's CC BY-SA 4.0 and by Mapillary's Terms of Use, which apply to whoever fetches or serves photos from Mapillary.

6. What this declaration does not cover

This declaration is limited to the rights held by the Operator. It does not extend to, and the Operator does not license, the following:

• (a) Mapillary photos (not part of the Covered Data).
• (b) Values computed by Mapillary and values converted from them (Annex 2).
• (c) Values based on Mapillary map-feature data (such as segment_priority_score).
• (d) Reference information supplied by contributors (raw GPS coordinates, compass angles, capture times, image IDs, sequence IDs, etc.). This does not prevent using them as facts record by record.
• (e) Rights of OpenStreetMap.
• (f) Data of national or local governments (areas, schools, town-block boundaries and population, etc.).
• (g) Third-party text, trademarks and signs captured in photos.
• (h) Personal data and likenesses. CC BY 4.0 does not permit the use of personal data. If you find a description that identifies an individual, please tell us at contact@michiyomi.dev.
• (i) The names and logo “みちよみ” and “michiyomi”.

7. Streets and areas database

The streets, town-blocks and edges database is a derivative database of OpenStreetMap, provided under ODbL 1.0 (https://opendatacommons.org/licenses/odbl/1-0/). The same applies to OpenStreetMap-derived parts of earlier responses. Columns derived from OpenStreetMap (names, road classes, shapes, lengths, etc.) and OpenStreetMap information contained in karte texts are subject to ODbL. michiyomi's independent data linked by keys, such as aggregates, is governed by sections 2 to 4; however, extracting a substantial part of the database triggers ODbL. On request, the Operator provides a copy of this database free of charge (ODbL section 4.6).

8. Where it is an adaptation

To the extent that, under the law applicable to a use, part of the observation layer is an adaptation of a photo (Adapted Material under CC BY-SA 4.0), the Operator licenses its contribution to that part under CC BY-SA 4.0 as the adapter's license and waives that license's conditions to the same extent as sections 3 and 4. Conditions based on the photographer's rights remain for that part.

9. No revocation

The Operator will not revoke the permissions and waivers in this declaration, and will not add conditions beyond this declaration for the Covered Data. Conditions for new releases not covered here will be shown on this page for each release.

10. Languages

This declaration is given in Japanese and English. If they differ, the version with fewer conditions for the user applies.

Annex (as of 3 October 2026)

1. Observation layer (words michiyomi created from photos with AI, and values michiyomi computed)

• Scenes: summary, analysis (all keys including townscape.poi_signs; descriptions that are personal data are excluded under section 6(h); responses from 3 October 2026 and v0.3.1 mask nameplate names and licence plates), provenance fields model, prompt_version, generation, generated_at, content_sha256, analysis_status, and quarantined
• Machine layer: feature_version, month, weekday, hour, season, time_bucket, left_side8, right_side8, abs_objects (compass conversion uses Mapillary's computed_compass), colorfulness, green_ratio, warm_ratio, dominant_colors, color_status, travel_bearing, view_class
• Changes: change_id, group_id, category, year_a, year_b, subject, evidence, status, verification
• Amenities: evidence, object_position, object_distance_m_est, confidence
• Independent street and town-block data: profile.stats, l2_segments, distinct_terms, and the Operator's contribution to karte texts (excluding OpenStreetMap information; section 7)
• Tags and quotations in scenery search

2. Mapillary reference layer (not licensed by the Operator)

• Values supplied by contributors: id, image_page, sequence_id, captured_at_ms, captured_at_jst, capture_year, capture_time_quality, raw_lat, raw_lon, raw_compass, camera_type, is_pano, width, height, and scene_ids_a, scene_ids_b of changes
• Values computed by Mapillary and their conversions: lat, lon (where position_source is mapillary_computed), position_source, position_offset_m, computed_lat, computed_lon, computed_compass, heading, heading8, cell_250m, and lat, lon of changes and amenities
• Values derived from Mapillary data: quality_score, segment_priority_score

3. Public-sector data

ward (National Land Numerical Information N03), the school table (P29), and town-block town_key, names, boundaries, population, households and area (e-Stat 2020 census)
